Quantitative Reasoning requires students to think critically and use mathematical skills to interpret data, draw conclusions and solve mathematical problems. I use practical methods to teach my pupils this subject because it is all about application. I always ensure that my pupils have a mastery of the basic concepts before I guide them into interpreting, analyzing and solving more complex problems.
While teaching this subject, I always ensure that I make my pupils understand that quantitative reasoning is less about how to perform mathematical calculations and more about the meaning of the calculation result they get.
I guide my pupils through the step by step approach of getting their results. This method has really been useful because it has always helped the pupils to think critically.
