Literacy is the ability to read and write. In the modern world, this is one way of interpreting literacy. One more broad interpretation sees literacy as knowledge and competence in a specific area.

My method of teaching this course shall involve making the client understand the types and purpose of literacy. We shall do some smart work of thinking, reasoning, and building up the structure of the write-up. This will consist of several questions urging the student to build up reasoning and concepts, after a series of explanations and written examples.

I shall also make use of templates on some selected samples to let the client practice with and assimilate.

It is believed that with practice, my client would have a better understanding of the approach to take in simplifying his/her write-up, be it for business or academic research purposes.
We shall cut across these topics:
- Scribbling
- Rhyming
- Syllable segmenting
- Teaching the alphabet
- Labeling all items in your classroom to encourage reading/object learning, or
Singing

I shall adopt more methods to deepen their practical skills in Understanding the language and literacy development of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, Creating a language and literacy-rich learning environment, Supporting oral language development, Fostering reading development, Encouraging writing development, Supporting dual language learners, Partnering with families to strengthen teaching and make cultural connections.
