One of the most important responsibilities of every professional vocabulary tutor is to help students and individuals develop a strong working vocabulary. Vocabulary falls into four categories:

Listening: the words we understand when we hear them

Speaking: the words we use when talking

Reading: the words we understand when we read

Writing: the words we use when writing

Research has shown that good vocabulary building is the bedrock of proficiency in English writing, speaking, reading, and listening.

As a professional in the field of English, and my six years experience of teaching vocabulary, I have a good grounding and skills to help individuals and students to develop vocabulary proficiency. There is tremendous improvement of the use of vocabulary by all the students and individuals I have taught so far.

Having been in British and American systems of education and taught students/pupils using their curriculums, I found out that in primary/elementary school stage, the level of learning using British curriculum is substantially higher. However, it seems to me that the American curriculum picks up.
