Economics is a social science that studies how people satisfy unlimited wants with scarce resources. It involves the analysis of choice and trade through the use of intuitive graphs and mathematical elements. The discipline is divided into two sections: microeconomics (micro) and macroeconomics (macro).

Economics affects everyone’s lives. Learning about economic concepts can help you to understand the principles of management of resources, make financial decisions, shape public policy, and see the world in a new way.
I have being an economics tutor for five years, teaching secondary school students and students of Federal College of Education, Kano on private lesson capacity. Having been in British and American systems of education and taught students/pupils using their curriculums, I found out that in primary/elementary school stage, the level of learning using British curriculum is substantially higher. However, it seems to me that the American curriculum picks up.
