French Language

More than 3 years experience

Trained both locally and internationally, I am a graduate of Foreign Languages and Literary Studies, B.A French with a second class upper division. I spent my language immersion year exercising my competency through debates, quiz, drama, seminars etc and within that period I improved my abilities to understand, interpret and communicate better.

In a reasonable space of time, I have met and taught different people including undergraduates who come back with their very high grades and I have also been able to convince college boys and girls that French language is not supposed to be the most dreaded subject but an opportunity to speak another foreign language. They have also come to appreciate and love French.

I discovered that French does not have to be learned in Isolation or magnified beyond comprehension but should be brought to a level where people can relate to it. French is much fun when you teach it with pictures and images, songs and short stories or dialogues. Learning French can be described as embarking on a journey whereby you move from the known to the familiar, yes. This is because 40% or more of French words are same in English though with a different pronunciation. we will start simply with a mini French English dictionary, text/workbook, and pictures. its very okay if you want to start with the basics or you feel you have gained ground knowledge and would want to intensify, then we move in your pace.
