I have been teaching Elementary English for over 10 years. I assist my pupils to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I lay emphasis on both language(Words, sentences, pronunciation, spelling, and grammar) and Literature (Words, sentences, expressing ideas, feelings, and experiences) aspects of the English language. These have been useful in developing their spelling, reading, correct grammar/vocabulary usages, and creative writing skills.

My lessons are child-focused. I always make them dictate the pace of the learning so that we can build on what they already know about the subject matter. I make connections to real-life situations to make learning interesting and more relevant. As much as possible, I encourage my pupils to read materials which are of interest to them which will gradually help them understand the importance of reading for pleasure. Thereby, having a clear picture of the main idea of the text.

I don't just make my pupils memorize a list of words rather, they master the meaning of the words as well as their usage. This is done by making different sentences with words. I teach reading skills using guided, shared, and independent methods of reading, depending on the child's reading level. I assist them in the area of reading and understanding comprehension texts and being able to answer comprehension questions correctly.

I encourage dictionary usage a lot for proper vocabulary development. My pupils are encouraged to read lots of books.I also engage them in discussions which always helps to improve their conversation skills. Worksheets are used for extension practice. I also make them read books online.

My pupils are excellent at reading and answering comprehension questions, creative writing, and spelling. They have proficient communication skills which involves knowledge and application of grammar and use of appropriate vocabulary to convey meanings in a socially acceptable way.
