As a graduate of Mathematics and Computer Science, I have taught pupils you were greatly discouraged about Mathematics to see from a different angle. I interest pupils with games and try to simplify complex things with illustrations to make them fun.
During my service year, I tutored a very bad pupil in Mathematics for a month after normal classes and was amazed by the testimonies of improvement I got from his classmates who knew he was very weak in Mathematics.
I believe patience is a virtue needed to simplify things when dealing with pupils who show little or no interest in Mathematics.
