Social study as a subject is important because it teaches students fundamental concepts of culture, economics and politics skills to groom them into educated, productive citizens. Social studies centers around understanding how the world works on a social level. It teaches rights and obligations.

I have been teaching Social studies for the past 3 years to upper and lower primary school pupils. My major style of teaching this subject is engaging pupils in practical work since this subject deals with the immediate environment they are. In my years of teaching, my pupils have been able to grasp social concepts such as rights, obligations, and social relationships. I have been able to imbibe social etiquette into my curriculum, this has improved my pupils' social behavior.

I use research, discussion, quiz, and up to date learning resources to make learning interactive and explanatory. I take learning beyond the four walls and familiarize my pupils with the environment to create a comfortable atmosphere. With me, learning is easier and fun.
