The English language consists of various parts which include grammar, phonics, comprehension, and composition. Phonics form a crucial basis for the English language. A mastery of sounds and blending gives room for good reading and comprehension. Composition also involves putting thoughts to writing which improves creativity. Grammar is the aspect which majorly deals with parts of speech and construction of sentences.

I have over three years of experience teaching English grammar, comprehension and composition. I teach my pupils identification and pronunciation of sounds which improve their reading skills and comprehension. I encourage creative writing and interpretation of pictures which widens creativity and productivity. I have worked with students who find it difficult to read and thorough blending of sound and spelling, reading became fun.
I use various approaches to create a student-centered learning environment. I have worked as a literacy coach where i helped pupils improve their reading skills and vocabularies.

I measure my impacts by employing weekly, monthly and termly assessments. I am very enthusiastic about my pupils growth and that is why I find a meeting point for interest and learning. I use flashcards, audiovisuals, and charts to make learning easier and understanding. I encourage learners to read books and build a vocabulary bank.
