Basic Mathematics is a concept involving counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations. It enables individuals to develop good mental ability, strengthen analytical skills, promote a better understanding of the world, exercise the brain, build problem-solving skills and stimulate their creativity.
My experience as a Basic Mathematics teacher has exposed me to different methodologies of simplifying complex problems in a simple form. My learners have been turning out better in their calculation skills and performance in their various schools.
I have employed fun ways to make mathematics interesting for my pupils. I use audiovisuals and commonly sourced learning resources to drive home my lessons. My learning activities are always learner-centered which makes my class interactive and productive.
