Further Mathematics

Based on my experience, I have noticed that students hardly ever willingly decide to offer Further mathematics courses, they feel it is too complicated and what they do not know is that it is actually one of the easiest subject to excel in if only they can grasp the concept. I teach my students to always tackle mathematical problems from the root which is the basics. I ensure that they properly understand the topic firstly because I know the importance of a good foundation in further mathematics. I have tutored quite a number of students with classes ranging from elementary to junior and senior secondary classes. I have experience in preparing student to face entrance examinations such as NECO, WASSCE and UTME and most of them excel in them and many of them move on to higher institutions of their choice. My mode of teaching involves getting my students comfortable with the idea of solving questions and also making it enjoyable for them. I give tests, quizzes and an appreciable number of practice questions at intervals to ensure my students understand the concept of the topics and I also follow up and supervise their school work . All material and textbooks needed for lessons should be made available for smooth and enjoyable sessions

While teaching using the British Curriculum, I have found that it is well structured and it not only tests the student’s ability to study and take exams, but also employs them to have a deeper understanding of the concepts in other for them to apply those concepts to their every day life.
