Nigeria - being a country with diverse ethnic group and ethnic languages - has made the art of communicating in English Language a necessity. This language has helped Nigerians to connect with themselves and even connect with international people across the world.
The above reason alone is enough reason to enable any student in Nigeria understand English Language. This reason, combined with other reasons are reasons that help me to teach my students English Language with dexterity and purpose; and to also connect with them. This is because I believe that they will go on to become world leaders and agent of change in the world out there and communicating with people and expressing themselves is the first step in the right direction.
In addition to teaching English Language to students, I have also prepared primary pupils and junior secondary students for external examinations such as Common Entrance Examinations and JSCE and I still believe that more can be done.
