More than 10 years experience

As a Basic Technology teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, I graduated from the Department of Science and Technology Education, University of Lagos. I have taught Basic Technology in a couple of schools, groups, and individuals.

I carry out a lot of practical work and as well explain the theory behind such. From static electricity to basic electronic devices(resistors, capacitors, transistors, semiconductors etc); drives....... e.g belt, chain and gear drives to complex devices such as hydraulic and pneumatic devices; processing of materials(wood, plastics, rubber, and metals) to engineering materials properties; isometric, oblique to orthographic projection to mention but a few. I also study my students to know the temperament (sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic, etc) he/she belongs to. This would enable me to know how fast or slow he/she learns.

Also, I take note of the student's learning disorder or disability, if any. I follow the student's scheme of work for optimum achievement and I also reflect on what has been taught and learned by giving assessment periodically to ascertain the level of student's achievement on the subject.

I have used British curriculum at Nigeria Turkish International schools Opebi especially in teaching Maths to Olympiad classes and IGCSE classes. Comparison between British and American Curriculum was carried by me during my masters programme at the University of Lagos
