I am a trained English teacher and I have had several experiences teaching the subject. Teaching comprehension especially is quite interesting to me as I very well can do it with very practical steps, thereby making the students know it is quite an easy task.

In my recent teaching engagement, my student felt he could have done better in his last exam after we went through the exam comprehension passage together.

Comprehension passages is mainly to help student better their reading skills and understanding of the topic in particular, hence the questions afterwards.

But in an exam setting the timing requires speed in assimilating the passage and answering the questions as well.
So here is the trick I teach my students; Read the questions first; read the passage and note your answers while doing so; read the questions again; Begin to answer the questions.

This method not only saves time but streamlines the students focus while reading the passage.

Therefore, as a client, expect that your ward will definitely fall in love with Comprehension passages after my session with him/her.

All I need to have the kind of result expected is a willing student and a conducive environment to impact this knowledge.
