I love teaching students on the basic aspect of spoken English Language. Over the years, I discovered that one of the major problems confronting Nigerian users of English Language is spoken aspect of the English language due to its status as L2. Nigerians believe that knowing the rules of concord and agreement is enough to say one is good at the use of English but forget the fact that language has to do with written and spoken. Meaning that written form is not enough to declare one competency in the English language. It has to be married with Spoken aspect. No wonder WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IELTS, TOEFL, etc as examination bodies test non-native speaker on not only written aspect but also spoken aspect to be sure of one competency in the English language.

The need to solve this problem drives me towards solving the problem inherent in oral English as an L2 for who-to-be my students of Spoken English. I have been teaching this for years hitherto. With the experience I have gathered over 5years I have been teaching this subject and the great knowledge I have acquired in my school, I have, to my credit, helped over 40 students in the aspect of spoken English by exposing them to the nitty-gritty of phonetics and phonology;how to identify in the external exams e.g WAEC,NECO,JAMB etc and how to apply it in their day-to-day speech.
