As a Science teacher, the subject is interesting because it is more practical than other subjects. It is my job to always make my pupils looking forward to the next classes.

How do I use to do it? We write less note but more practical. I always start my lesson with an interesting but relevant short video or song. We always have our lesson in the Science Laboratory. I used to go all out to buy or get the materials for my lessons beforehand. Pupils learn better when they can relate to what the teacher is teaching them practically.

For instance, I just taught my pupils electricity and acids, bases and salts. I was able to get diluted acids and bases, litmus paper, turmeric paper strips, batteries, connecting wires, motors, LED bulbs, etc for my lesson. It was such fun and my pupils easily understood the content of my lesson.

I’m a STEAM coordinator in my school, this really helps me to make all my Science class practical and fun. STEAM knowledge helps to bring the real-world application of the lesson into the classroom and my pupils always enjoy it.
