I have taught verbal reasoning for about 14 years, and I have helped my pupils to master the tricks in rhymes, alphabetical order, forming new words, twisting a word to form another, collective namings, and re-arranging words etc.
I have been able to develop my pupils to think more logically and make sense of any verbal reasoning concept. In my 14 years of teaching, I have been able to improve my averagely performing pupils to make higher scores in both internal and external examination and my very good pupils to be consistent in their performances.
I have always loved to first know exactly my pupil knows in as regards a particular concept in verbal reasoning, then start to introduce the concept from what he or she knows. I do this using analogies and examples of things around or things he or she is familiar with. Hence I am able to strengthen the pupils grasp of concepts.

I have taught British and American curricula both in schools and in tutorials for about four years. The British Mathematics is hard core i.e, students learnt concepts the raw way but later see how to apply it to real life situation. But in American curriculum, concepts are demystified.
