I am a private tutor with 4 years experience. I have taught students literacy in both primary and secondary school using either or both the British curriculum and Nigerian curriculum. My main goal as a literacy private tutor is to help students improve in their academic achievement in literacy, spoken English, use of phonics ,reading and writing.
I have successfully taught literacy and to 4 students in both primary and secondary school. At the end of the section I was able to achieve the following objectives:
1) Improvement in the student's phonics pronunciation and eloquent use of English
2) Improved writing ability and reading skills
3) Improved grade point.
As a literacy teacher, I focus more on students centered method of teaching which involves active participation and engagement of the students during teaching.
During the lesson hours I will require a computer with internet facility and literacy curriculum of the school.
