Basic Mathematics

I am a Mathematics major at graduate level. it is an exact science. My approach to the study of Mathematics is foundational. I try to see a child from the beginner level and work to ascertain the level he or she has attained. If one understands the basics, it will be a lot easier. How can one know these basics? This is simple, engage yourself in the work itself following every step.
I have worked with over ten pupils at different levels in primary school. Many of them were below average at the beginning but with time there has been great improvement.
Mathematics is a practical subject. Many of the topics are relevant to everyday experience. The topics in basic mathematics are not abstract. Each has an area of application. Like decimals applies to the use of currencies.
However, you get to enjoy mathematics when you practice. It is quite fascinating.
What I need from every child is the materials of study. In this case, I use mostly Bond Assessment books on Mathematics, Inside out Mathematics, Progressive Mathematics (for upper primary pupils), Ugo C. Ugo(common entrance pupils). The reason is that it has grades for every class.
