Literature, they say, is the means of mirroring the ills of the society with intent portraiture of correcting them. But I say, additionally, that literature does not only mirror and proffer solution to the anomalies of the society; it also mirrors one's soul and adds beauty and fun to it. Literature is the very ingredient that makes an individual's life colorful; being a science student, art student, or otherwise.

My method of teaching literature is very simple: create a chart or diagram that explain the superordinate background of literature. For instance, it is important to note here that the foundation of studying literature is to realize that there are 3 genres of literature; every other aspect is sub-categorized under these three genres. Sometimes though, students tend to confuse types of literature (fiction and nonfiction) for genres of literature (poetry, drama, and prose). This is the perfect opportunity to know what types of literature are subcategories of genres of literature, that is, a fiction or non-fiction can be presented in dramatic form, prosaic form, or poetic form.

I have taught literature for over 3 years across all levels of academic; from JSS 1 to University level. I also specialized in preparing students for national, as well as entrance exams, which include WAEC, JAMB, NECO, IGCSE, GCE, etc. I have over 50 successful students over the years of teaching. I love to teach literature because to me it is not just a profession, but it is a part of my very being.
