Quantitative Reasoning, just as the name implies, deals with a student's reasoning of putting some given quantities together to achieve expected end result. It is more or less of an I.Q Test. There are precepts that are needed to be understood before students can understand it. I have taught students those precepts and they have done very well. It helped them gained admission to their desired school. There are low and high level 'Quants' as we simply call it. The low level ones are in Basic 3 to 6, while the high level one can be featured in high standardized test like GRE and GMAT. Each of them requires its precepts. They are not all that difficult. Those precepts must be learned and strictly adhered to. I will turn them my students inside out. For example, for the basic type, it just requires the manipulation of basic operators: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, squaring, square root, cube, and cube root. I tell you I lie not, when I instruct my student the use of these, it's usually become so simple that the candidates usually getting all the question, except in cases where they make undetected mistake.
