I have been teaching Math for more than fifteen years, particularly private home teaching, by God's grace. Personally I had made Grade 'A' in Math in my O'Level, and with that I have built strong confidence in dealing with this intimidating but simple subject while teaching my students. I arouse their interest and challenge them and when they take up the challenge they excel. This is because many students don't understand Math because they lose interest in it. I apply three principles in my teaching Math: rote, depiction, and demonstration. By rote I mean by continuing saying and working on it until the students grab it. This is mainly applicable to the mathematically weak students. By depiction I mean I use pictures, graphs, and drawings. I apply this method most, and most often because it is applicable to students of all levels. By demonstration, I mean I display some helpful gestures that make my students retain the principle for long period of time. I have taught some students who are now graduates of Chemical Engineering, Computer, Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, and so on. They are graduates of both home and abroad universities. Also, some of my students are still schooling presently in some universities, like Unilag. I have the tools as well as the methods to make your ward excel.
