English Grammar

More than 10 years experience

I have taught many students English Grammar and have seen them being successful. Grammar is the heart of English Language test because proper understanding of it is required to respond well to every section of English exam: Essay Writing (or Continuous Writing ), Comprehension (or Passage Based), Register (or Sentence Completion), or Summary (or Paragraph Modification). Grammar is not same as vocabulary! Grammar involves knowing and rightly applying the rules of English in such a way that they are not violated. This knowledge is critically assessed by the examiner, and hence, a student must understand and demonstrate it before he/she can get "well done thou good servant" from the marker. I teach this aspect with intelligence, as much I have sound knowledge of it. I teach students by highlighting the rules one after the other. I teach them and they practise it. I test & monitor their level of knowledge by giving them practical assignments, such as writing, reading comprehension and responding to the subsequent questions. This way I correct and help them understand it. Usually they flow with the lesson and become fluent English users

When you book lessons, Ojo Matthias will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Bariga to deliver lessons (e.g from Bariga to Lagos Mainland)
