SAT Reading

SAT Reading is described as 'Critical Reading'. The critical reading sections on SAT are designed to test students' ability to read and understand written English of the level they need to make the most of a university course. It includes two sections: Sentence Completion and Reading Comprehension (Passage Based Reading).
Sentence Completion (SC) questions account for about one quarter of the marks for the Critical Reading section of SAT I. Each question contains one or two blanks, and students have to find the best answer choice to make the sentence make complete sense. Here the knowledge of vocabulary is very useful. That's why I have devised means by which a student can systematically study these hard words. There are strategies needed to tackle SC headlong. These I teach my students. Reading Comprehension questions test students' ability to understand a passage and answer questions on the basis of what is stated and implied in the passage. I have taught students before and they passed and I'll still continue to teach. I have various strategies. I give the passage to read and they respond and I assess. Experience counts here!
