More than 10 years experience

I have played Guitar for over 15 years. With my experience, I divided music generally into

- Key Signature: Dealing with knowing which note to play in a circumstance.
- Time Signature: This tells you when to play a given note and how long to hold the note.
- Passion: Since music is a food for spirit, soul and body, a player/singer must perform with passion. In Jazz, it is called 'Groove'. This entails putting your whole being into what you do.

I normally set a deadline of 6 weeks for every of my class. The youngest of my students (though it was Piano I taught her) was Chinasa; a 12yrs old JSS 2 student. She was able, after the 6th week, to play 'I Almost Let Go by Kurt Carr' for her church choir.

In every class, we always start with the basic music theories and then end with much practices. We also take time to score a lot of songs to help the student develop a music ear.

For Guitar, I always recommend that my student buys an Acoustic Guitar (Just about N7,000) in the market. With a personal guitar, the student can practise at will.
