I see Verbal Reasoning as an extension of what is being taught in English Language classes. The knowledge of antonymns, synonyms, homonyms, prefixes, suffixes, punctuation marks, animals (young ones, male, female, where they live etc), alphabetical orders etc is very useful in solving Verbal Reasoning problems.

Just like I do with Quantitative Reasoning, I try to avoid teaching with multiple choice questions so as to enable my pupils focus on the problem instead of the options.

A broad knowledge of English Language is key to learning and enjoying Verbal Reasoning.
