The first page of any business plan is the executive summary. This captures the marketing and financial concepts. I had the experience of writing a business plan to a bank for a poultry project. The pitch was well commended by the Manager, but only turned down because I was about rounding off my National Youth Service year and wasn't going to settle in that part of the country.

It taught me a lesson that beside the marketing and and financial strategies, the experience and readiness of the entrepreneur are equally important.

Fusing all the parts together makes an irresistible business plan whether for a startup or for business financing. Writing a successful plan takes research and creativity. It has to be engaging and detailed with every aspect of business from staffing to future projections taking into consideration. In fact, it's always better to have banker or an investor preview for technical input.
