French Language

I have a very advanced knowledge of the French language, the French grammar, phonetics and literature are my area of specialization. French comprehension and composition are also my areas of focus in teaching the language as this helps the students develop their French reading and speaking skills. It also helps them in acquiring more vocabulary. I was able to graduate with a First Class in French language because I focused on reading anything and studying French books widely. I also use the audiovisual method a lot in teaching French, learning by watching TV, listening to audio devices, goes a long way in making students comfortable enough to come out of their shell and actually speak the language. Language dictionary is also an important part of my teaching library.
In my years of teaching, I have been able to help someone secure an NGO job which required French language by teaching and improving the person's level of French. I also speak French to my students by using simple grammar, sentences and gestures, and my students always respond also in French without having to translate any word into English. Any new word that is learnt in class is used to practice outside class and even during playtime. Home assignments are also an important part of my teaching because it leads to students having to make more independent research and learning outside the classroom while gaining a higher level of self development. French textbooks and dictionaries are essential in learning French and should be an important part of the students library.
