How I can help

GMAT

More than 6 years experience

The GMAT is an exam which is required by most schools abroad (especially USA) from prospective MBA students to examine their eligibility for advanced learning. Even when a school does not require it, having a great GMAT score will give your admission application an edge and could sometimes be the key to obtaining a merit-based scholarship.

The GMAT, like other standardized tests, is predictable since GMAC has to test the same concepts in each and every test. Hence, certain variations of some verbal questions appear over and over again, as do variations of the same exact math questions. To make the test more difficult, GMAC sets traps in the questions to make them appealing to a large percentage of the test takers than the correct answers.

Fortunately, these traps are predictable (and this is what we call the 'secret codes') and I can teach you how to recognize and avoid them. The predictability is what makes the GMAT coachable.

I have experience in teaching the GMAT and my methodology involves introducing the candidate to the various sections of the exam (Analytic, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning), the various question types and time-proven strategies to ace the exam.

Firstly, I give the student a practice test to assess their understanding of the English language and mathematics while noting their strengths and weaknesses. Then I give them rigorous and robust sessions on each section by breaking them down into bits and give them time-proven strategies and secret codes to choose the correct answers and avoid distractors.

I help the candidate practice a lot and give them as much material as possible to enable them to get ready for the real exam. I also encourage the candidate to get familiar with the computer as the exam is internet based and delivered on a computer. I emphasize the need for them to be able to type fast as this is necessary especially in the analytic section if they are to write high scoring answers to the given task within the allotted time.

The GMAT does not necessarily measure innate skills, rather, it measures acquired skills. The exam is an advanced study exam, and as such, require a sound preparation. I can help you with such needed preparation.
