' In its most general form, algebra is the study of mathematical symbols and the rules for manipulating these symbols, it is a unifying thread of almost all of mathematics. As such, it includes everything from elementary equation solving to the study of abstractions such as groups, rings, and fields'. As a result of this abstract nature of this branch of Mathematics, many students find it difficult.
As a seasoned Teacher, teaching Algebra has been fun because I teach it with practical applications and this eliminates the abstract nature of it. I teach with many examples, assignments and impromptu test before commencing any new topic.
I have prepared many students for external and internal examinations and their performance has been excellent.
I was once faced with a serious case of teaching Ifeanyi Nzeukwu, a weak student. I applied my student-teacher relationship style which yielded a positive result at last.
