While being a Business student in secondary school, I devised some means of excelling in my commerce examinations which was simply applying topics to my everyday transactions. This helped to simplify concepts and express them in a more comprehensive way.

Some years later, with opportunities to pass on such knowledge to others, and my qualification of BSc. in Economics, I believe that my experiences would always be of advantage as most commerce teachers had not gone through such similar studies I have had and therefore may not be more thorough with commercial concepts like I can be.

I noticed that most students tend to memorize concepts that are very risky and can easily be forgotten. This is why it is difficult to build on existing knowledge for such students.
For instance, in the topic, channel of distribution, students just need to picture depots, provision shops, kiosks, supermarkets, malls, etc. which they are conversant with to completely understand the concept in no time.

My teaching methods are suitable because I do not complete my topic without personalizing or applying it with the help of pictures, narratives, videos, or student's testimonies, and with the help of the Internet, many concepts are brought home for such students.
