How I can help

Basic Mathematics

More than 6 years experience

During my secondary Education, I devised some means of excelling in my Mathematics examinations which was simply solving lots of examples for each topic and building on existing knowledge. This helped to simplify concepts and express them in a more comprehensive way. and it proved to be successful as I passed my WASSCE with A1.

Some years later, with opportunities to pass on such knowledge to others, and my qualification of B.Sc. in Economics and PGDE specializing in Mathematics Education, I am thorough in teaching concepts knowing that the success of one concept depends on the success of another. Making use of different Math texts which I have a library of, I touch almost all existing examples related to such topics with students and together we relate the difference between one example and another.

Sometimes I realize that I need to touch more basic concepts for students in higher classes which I manage to do. For instance, understanding the properties of two and three-dimensional shapes in Primary School is necessary for understanding Geometry and mensuration which in a few cases I had needed to go back to.

When working with me, I work on student's confidence in the subject and we start working together and students also get to be given more independent work also. I assure you that the student cannot be the same after learning mathematics from me and his grades significantly improve as we spend more time studying.

Hiring my services will be a pleasant experience for you.
