Basic Mathematics

More than 6 years experience

My first degree is in Physics Education and I have been teaching Mathematics for the past six years. I teach Mathematics with fun to arouse learner's interest, aiming for an improved and excellent result. I also prepare students for WAEC, NECO, GCE, checkpoint, Common Entrance. I use Nigeria and British curricula as well as visual aids to enhance my teaching and make it effective.

My experience with the international schools I have worked with in the past has given me a better understanding of how to teach and make students enjoy Mathematics. I have prepared candidates for examination in Mathematics and they all came out with excellent results. My method of teaching includes the learner-centered method of teaching where the student is involved more than the teacher and the use of audio-visuals makes learning easy for pupils/students. I teach mathematics at all levels including primary and secondary.

My main objectives are to teach the students to understand and love Mathematics and to make sure the student gets good grades and ultimately excel in mathematics. In my years of experience, I have taught in the following schools; Almond International schools, CEDEC International School Lekki expressway, Grace Springs College Ajah where I taught Basic Science and Technology, Mathematics, and Physics. I have also prepared candidates for entrance exams into institutions like Grace Springs College, Louisville Schools, Loyola Jesuit and other key examinations. My years of experience in teaching and as a coordinator of the JETS club have allowed me to relate with several kids and being part of their excellent performance and success story gives me joy and fulfilment.
