I have prepared a good number of students for the IELTS and many other English related examinations. Together, my students and I have achieved many success stories.

The IELTS measures the non native speaker's ability to use and understand English at the tertiary/advanced levels. And it evaluates how well he is able to combine his reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to perform academic and/or general tasks.

To master this test, not only should the test taker understand the basic rules of the English Grammar governing word and sentence structures, subject-verb agreement, semantics - denotation and connotation/paraphrasing/use of synonyms/spellings, he should also be exposed to a variety of accents in order to sharpen his listening skills. A thorough understanding of rules guiding the IELTS is a much needed advantage too as test takers are assessed following certain criteria; Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource and Grammatical Range.

Having majored in English Linguistics, I am equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to adeptly describe the English Language. Also, with appropriate training in the art of speaking; a combination of grammatical accuracy and eloquence, and experience in academic writing, suffice it to say that I am just the right tutor you have been anticipating.

I have helped a hand full of students prepare for and take the test, emerging with band scores ranging from 6.5 to 8.0. These were pretty impressive scores owing to the time for preparation and certain other factors.

I encourage my clients to be goal-oriented, maintaining enthusiasm and motivation by establishing clear attainable milestones. This strikes a balance between challenging them and also developing their confidence.

I consider myself to be very positive, patient and approachable. And I strive to cultivate a cordial learning environment in which clients feel comfortable enough to express their difficulties and explore diverse methods to enhance learning - thus achieving desired results.

When you book lessons, Lenora will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Balogun B/stop to deliver lessons (e.g from Balogun B/stop to Hajj Camp)
