Chemistry could be fun to learn if one is strategically taught the rudiments. Inorganic chemistry is almost everything around us: the rusting of iron, dissolving salt/sugar in water, sedimentation and decanting of dirty water, etc. To understand chemistry properly, one needs to carefully grasp the basic concepts such as the separation techniques, gas laws, the periodic table, atomic theory, balancing of chemical equations, etc. Also, to do well in a chemistry examination one has to do justice to Chemistry practical. Hence, a firm understanding of the two aspects of Chemistry practical (Volumetric and Qualitative Analysis) is equally very essential.

I have taught Chemistry to senior secondary students, including those preparing for WAEC. And they did very well in their exams. One of the boys is currently studying Medicine at the University.

I found out that Chemistry is quite difficult to understand than Physics to a majority of science students I have come across. So, I always try my best to illustrate with everyday materials or occurrence for easy assimilation. And these have always produced remarkable results. I also make sure I leave the student with enough evaluation task to help ascertain his progress on the topic. These include attempting textbook exercises and answering external examinations' past questions.
