Chemistry is one of my favorite science subjects, little wonder I always had Distinction grades in it. Organic chemistry is fun to study/learn. When the laid down principles are followed, one hardly makes mistakes in answering questions on it. Identifying or naming hydrocarbons is one of the most interesting exercises in chemistry. With a firm understanding of the main concepts of the subjects such as the naming of hydrocarbons, isomerism, saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esterification, functional groups, starch, hydrogenation, sulfurization, etc, organic chemistry would be completely demystified.

I have taught Chemistry to senior secondary students, including those preparing for WAEC/JAMB. And they did very well in their exams. One of the boys is currently studying Medicine at the University.

I found out that Chemistry is quite difficult to understand than Physics to a majority of science students I have come across. So, I always try my best to illustrate with everyday materials or occurrence for easy assimilation. And these have always produced remarkable results. I also make sure I leave the student with enough evaluation task to help ascertain his progress on the topic. These include attempting textbook exercises and answering external examinations' past questions.
