Verbal Reasoning has to do with the way we think with words. It's a form of understanding and reasoning based on words and language. Hence, children who are taught verbal reasoning are expected to develop problem-solving skills, critical and constructive thinking, and general intelligence. Notedly, some children have an aptitude for the subject. However, for others, it doesn't come so naturally.

Children who can read and spell very well may still struggle with some of the code-based questions. So, the best thing I do to improve this is, first, encourage them to read widely. This helps to build their vocabulary and general knowledge.

Secondly, I expose them to many Verbal Reasoning practice examples. Moreover, a good teacher also knows that there is a need to instruct their pupils to practice reading questions carefully and follow strict instructions, which can be an issue for the ones that are not so meticulous.

With my methods, I can boldly tell you that the pupils I have personally taught are performing excellently well, and so your child or ward will not be different.
