Quantitative Reasoning tests the ability of children in handling numerical data and solve numerical problems. It tests their ability to analyze and understand the problem rather than cramming. It is one of those subjects that can be scored so easily if the child possesses good mathematical skills and has a way with numbers. But, if the pupil has trouble with numbers and does not possess good mathematical skills, Quantitative Reasoning exams can be a daunting task.

So, the first step I take to dispel the fear in them is by motivating them; the fear of working with numbers usually takes root in a person's psyche in childhood, and this carries on until the person decides to work on it. The truth is, numbers and statistics are always around us. Numbers are an inevitable part of our lives. For instance, we are using numbers when we're negotiating the price of a commodity, and so on.

The next step is to make children practice and solve as many questions as many types of Quantitative Reasoning examples and tests as they can. It's only through regular practice that they will not only be able to familiarize themselves with the questions that are likely to come their way, but also gain confidence in their ability to solve them accurately.
