My take on the best approach to teaching Basic Science as a subject so far is, undoubtedly, hands-on learning. This method involves the active participation of pupils and students alike to experience scientific concepts than just to have an audience view.

At the moment most schools are promoting the use of low-cost apparatus in classrooms to help students and pupils to gain hands-on learning experience. However, where a topic requires science apparatus that are not readily available for science demonstration, they are other equally effective teaching styles I like to adopt.

In the absence of a physical science apparatus or laboratory, I apply teaching techniques that make use of instructional video clips available online to show and teach a new concept, and visual clues like drawings, diagrams, and pictures to supplement auditory information and theory. These multi-sensory experiences method improves children's understanding and memorization. For instance, in the absence of a physical science laboratory, the sequence of lab procedures can be better taught using pictures with words approach or the use of online virtual labs with my mobile device or laptop computer.

My styles are, of course, informed by a thorough understanding of assessment requirements and criteria of public examinations and various exam bodies.

Because I passionately teach and motivate my pupils and students, and even personally obey science concepts, norms, and rules in my daily life, most of my children make As and distinctions in every examination they encounter.
