In my 5 years of teaching Literacy and Numeracy at the primary level, I have come to realize that learning the subject is not limited to learning from lessons, a textbook, or testing strategy. Children generally have different styles and approaches to learning even the most difficult topics when they are properly motivated. And so, to produce young Math enthusiasts, a great burden weighs heavily on the subject teacher involved to adopt a method that resonates with the child's best style of learning. And this is where you need me.

Depending on the size of my class, I usually employ the pair work approach if my audience is more than one, or the use of manipulation tools like blocks, beads, balls, or others to teach addition, subtraction, place value, and other areas of Numeracy if it's a one-on-one learning session.

Finally, to ensure that my pupil has mastered the basic skills taught I do administer and grade a short timed test that reviews the previous class or several classes.
