Basic technology is an indispensable pre- vocational subject. It is the amalgamation of different subjects. These includes: electrical and electronics, metal and wood work, mechanics, technical drawing and construction/ civil engineering technology etc.

From years of experience acquired from teaching Basic Technology and Technical Drawing, my teaching style and approach is to help children by creating awareness of basic technology literacy for everyday living, stimulate their creativity and pre- vocational orientation for further training in technology. I use study material that require tools and equipment application in appropriate environment like laboratory or workshop, provide adequate demonstration area for workshop lesson, prepare of learning sequence during lessons to be adopted by learner.
