I have worked with more than 30 students studying physics in secondary school including undergraduate students in tertiary institutions.
My teaching style and techniques is to explain and demonstrate topics in physics, give clues on how to tackle any problem and ask the students to work the problem out while I provide directions as needed to solve the problem accurately.
I teach students by demonstrating physics concept using problem solving skills in relation to:
Scientific phenomena, facts, laws, definitions and theories;
Scientific vocabulary, terminology, conversions including symbols quantities and units
Use information to identify patterns, report trends, draw inferences and report conclusions.
Create awareness in identifying scientific instrument and apparatus including their techniques of operation and usefulness;
Present the basic concepts of physics that students needs to know for later courses and future career;
Help students to master the mathematical skills needed to understand difficult physics problems.
Leverage diverse instructional skills to enhance student’s performance and learning.

Dedicate to the task of tutoring students to maintain passing grade of 74% during their first semester exams and A-grade to secondary school student in GCE examination.
Physics is a branch of science that describes matter, energy, space and time at the most fundamental level. Principle of physics is relevant to other field of science such as biology, chemistry, medicine, architecture and geophysics etc.
Physics describes matter and its basic interactions, all natural sciences are built on a foundation of physics.
In today’s technological world, many important devices can be understood vividly only with knowledge of physics. Just in the medical world, think of laser surgery, magnetic resonance imaging, instant read thermometer, x-ray imaging, radioactive tracers, heart catheterization, sonogram, pacemakers, microsurgery guided by optical fibers’, ultrasonic dental drills and radiation therapy.
By studying physics we acquire skills that are useful to other discipline. This includes thinking logically and analytically, solving problems, making simplifying assumptions, constructing mathematical models, using valid approximations and making precise definitions.
A working knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, geometry and pre-calculus is essential to the study of introductory physics.
My goal as a tutor is to help students develop an understanding of physics by applying their problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and analytical skills to solve the calculation aspect of physics.
Problem Solving Techniques
No single techniques can be use to solve physics problem. Student has to demonstrate effective problem solving techniques to solve a particular problem and they may be various ways to tackle and solve any problem.
Some Application of Physics
The motor- vehicle was invented on the principle of the laws of motion, force and the transformation of energy.
The operation of the internet is based on the fact that electromagnetic radiation (EMR) required no medium for propagation.
The telephone mouth piece convert audible sound to electrical signals, while the earpiece converts electrical signals back to audible sound.
The telescope that produces the magnified image of distant objects is based on principles and laws of optics. The microscope magnifies very tiny objects.
Lenses correct short sight and long sight.
Geophysical methods and techniques like magnetic method, gravity method, electromagnetic method, resistivity method, radiometric method and seismic method make use of the knowledge and principles of physics to the study of the subsurface and deeper part of the earth.
The application of physics in science and technology is very significant in solving real life problem in our world.
