I am a consistent, hardworking, highly motivated tutor that is keen to teach my students by using different skills like communication skills, motivation skills and soft skills with exceptional ability to bring lessons to life and engage students to have interest on the subject. Create interdisciplinary and multicultural lesson plan, foster a positive learning environment with mutual respect, and engage fun activities into lessons to reinforce hand-on and lively students participation.
Student’s needs commitment of time and perseverance to study any subject, mastering takes time and patience. Northing worthwhile comes easy because a regular sustain effort is much more than sporadic bouts of cramming.
All my students passed geography very well, at least one of them got an A-grade while the rest got B-grade in Nov/Dec 2016 General Certificate Examination (GCE).

Teaching Geography has become very interesting, since I am combining my strong background and skills in Geology to teach Geography.
Combining various aspect of geology to geography is certainty a new dimension.
Geography is a branch of science that describe the earth surface, it physical features, climates, vegetation, soil product and people etc.
I help my students to vividly understanding about geography and geology and also encourage them to have a good career choice.
Geography is also a branch of science that deals with the spatial interaction and distribution of features and phenomena of the earth surface, with the hope of making the earth a better home of man.
Human geography: is the study of human relationships and their effect on the earth surface. It includes population density, language patterns, politics, religion as well as cultural and economic interactions with the environment.
Physical geography: deals with physical characteristics that are a result of human activities. These include houses, bridges park land use.
Regional geography: involves the application of geospatial techniques such as Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Geology: is a scientific study of the earth. It looks into the earth’s physical history, a chemical and biological change that has undergone various processes by which the earth has become what it is today. This includes studying the rock, minerals, soils, beaches ocean basin, fossils and volcanoes etc.
Geology provides a source of information for the study of geography because it involves the study of the origin and evolution of the earth and it dynamic nature. The various branches of geology are: physical geology, structural geology, stratigraphy, mineralogy, crystallography, oceanography, geochemistry, mining and economic geology, paleontology, civil engineering geology and petrology etc.
The major difference between geography and geology is that geology deals with is physical while geology deals with what lies below and beyond the physical.

I have a wealth of resources to use in teaching geography with students in secondary school and undergraduate level. I encourage students to work through practice papers and practice exam questions. Most of the topics I pay attention to meet student needs includes: calculations of latitudes, longitudes, and great circle distance, underground waters and Karsts region (i.e. stalactite and stalagmite); earthquake, mass movement and volcanicity; soils and soil erosion; weathering of rocks; environmental hazards, causes, effects and preventions; regional geography of Nigeria, west Africa and the rest of Africa; and Map reading and interpretation, Field work and land surveying.
I also improve exam techniques by ensuring students understand how their work will be assessed and by providing useful revision tips.

My teaching method/strategies in geography involves expository, discussion and demonstration of various patterns of the topic in geography for effective learning like chart, map, globe, tables, computer and e-learning resources. I prepare and deliver material to students’ base on current curriculum.
Help student to master basic skills needed to understand difficult area of map reading and interpretation. Reinforcing difficult concepts, working through example problems, engage students in cooperative learning activities, describing applications and presenting demonstrations.

I am always patient and committed to teach my students so that they understand a particular topic very well before moving to the next topic. This can be done by giving out quiz, assignment and weekly test to assess their performance and address any pitfall.
I also practice map work such as;
Identification of symbols and keys in map
Conversion of scale in map
Carrying out grid reference and bearing in spatial location
Representation of relief (i.e. drawing of cross sections)
Identification and interpretation of land forms and land use pattern
Photographic interpretation and
Geographical phenomena and processes operating on the earths surface.
