Teaching goes beyond scribbling, making a child assimilate a handful of knowledge only for the purpose of getting good grades. I help kids learn to read through phonics, improve their mastery of numbers and mathematical thinking, and help them understand the world through science.
Good grades are necessary and I do make sure my tutees get them but they also get plenty more which include: the ability to apply the teachings to daily activities, the courage, and initiative to make good choices among options, encouraging inquisitiveness, seeing failure as a challenge, not a problem, eradicating phobia for subjects that seem incomprehensible at the time.
I've learnt, over the years of teaching that kids differ in both mental and physical qualities. Also, most of them tend to be quite emotional, hence, the need to be flexible. I don't measure my pupil with reference to another as a yardstick. I've taught countless children and adults and I got countless achievements
