Most people don't know that over 95% of English spelling is based on easily understood rules. I can explain these rules so that it all makes sense and you understand why a particular word can only be spelt that way.

When teaching spellings, I use the phonetic spelling strategy, the rules-based spelling strategy, the visual spelling strategy, and the morphemic spelling strategy.

I passionately teach my students and ensure I leave them all-round better than I met them. I endeavor to start at their level and help them grow in the understanding of the rules of spelling.
