Firstly, I try to banish the "I'm-not-good-at-Math or Math-is-difficult mentality".

Secondly, I make them have the pleasure in Math by playing Math games with them, help them see the purpose of Maths, I come down to their level and teach them in a friendly way, give them Maths problems and time to solve it on their own.

I have been using this method for 4 years now and it has been yielding good outcomes and none of them ever continue with that fear of Maths (and this is the only way to learn math).
