So many kids at their early stage find it difficult to recognize and identify numbers and alphabets, which is a compulsory stage in Literacy and Numeracy. When teaching them how to identify it, I always use the play-method. For example in Numeracy I use activities like;
1. Connect to dot activity: a simple past-time activity that reinforces the order of numbers.
2. Create a maze of numbers to drive through.
3. Upcycle a box into a puzzle of numbers and so many others.
In teaching my students letters recognition in general as well as knowing the uppercase and lowercase alphabets and getting to know the letter sounds, I use the ABC songs and rhymes, the ABC mat, letter search to find and match the pieces back together, and a lot of them to mention but a few.

I have tutored over 20 kids in Literacy and Numeracy and it has always been a great thing as the kids learn excellently and very fast.
