Sections in the English Language I have handled successfully include:

Grammar(Lexis & Structure), Comprehension, Registered Passages, Essay Writing, and Letter Writing, Vocabulary Development and Spellings.

Each has a different approach to teaching it.

Registered Passages:
Lets assume the topic to teach now is Mining. Most often, registered passages do not reveal topics as headings. But likely topics are provided in the school curriculum. I use the internet to download all terms in 'mining'. I treat the terms with students in form of vocabulary development. I also set up pictorials and passages that reveal mining. After this, I set up a passage with missing words. My learners will seek for the right mining terms that suit the missing lines. Next time the learner sees the same or related topic in a registered passage, he or she will definitely stand tall. This is how other registrations will be treated.

Comprehension:
It is not too OK for students to study questions before reading the passage, it is getting behind as new age evolves.

I firstly advise my learners to study the passage. Then I instruct them to get a pen or pencil, draft on paper the pictures or messages you pick along the passage.

I encourage them that their drafts are actually what dropped first on the mind of the person that wrote the passage before he or she later developed it. It is easier this way to resolve all the passage clues.

I make essay and letter writing easy, entertaining and fantastic for them to build. I take them through these five stages;
Draft;
Write;
Edit;
Re-write; and
Publish.

I build my learners' Grammar. Its a very sensitive part of English Language. I begin with watching their tenses while they speak. I engage them in long conversations. I pick their mistakes, correct them and refer them to it. Then in class I do not really teach, rather I research and study together with them. Often times I try this, its amazing.

I refer them to texts after class, post their discoveries on WhatsApp while I score them on.
