Mathematics is fun. I am an NCE holder in Mathematics. I have been teaching basic mathematics for about six years. I have also helped prepare children for external examinations. I'm also good at some advanced mathematics.
If a child is having problems with multiplication, continuous addition could be a key and likewise with division. though, there could be challenges in passing knowledge but I try to find out what the child already knows and build from there. so what he knows wont be lost while trying to grab new and expanding knowledge. I have been able to successfully take out the fear of mathematics and numbers from most of the children which I have taught. I do differentiated learning when necessary.
I prefer to use the child centered method because that puts the child on the spotlight though not to terrify the child but to bring him out. I love challenging children.
If contracted, you (the parent) should expect a steady growth in the performance of your child. the child should be equipped with the necessary textbook needed, though after meeting the child I would know what extra worksheet to get.
