Mathematics for me is a language. Such that must be understood to adequately communicate it or with it. The level of one's depths in this language will determine the level of one's competence in its use, which ultimately shows one's level of expertise.
In my ten years plus experience of teaching Mathematics, I have been able to help quite a number of young minds to see the beauty in mathematics and how rewarding and satisfying the experience can be when one is able to solve coded problems.
I have had the opportunity to teach students who before I met them were practically afraid of Mathematics, but after a few encounter with me, they began loving the subject.
I emphasize practice; because, the more one practices, the more one perfects his or her skill in that topic. This, I learned personally when I solved 30 questions on quadratic equation using just completing the square method; and ever since I did that in my first year in the higher institution, I have not forgotten it.
